§ Lord O'Haganasked Her Majesty's Government:
How much revenue has been collected by taxing farmhouse cider in each of the last five years; and whether this revenue exceeds the cost of collection.
§ The Secretary of State for Trade (Lord Cockfield)Total receipts of duty from all cider for each year between 1977–78 and 1981–82, were £11.6 million, £11.8 million, £12.5 million, £13.2 million and £17.6 million (provisional).
