§ Mr. Peter Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people were employed in each of the categories of the standard industrial classification in (a) Northern Ireland and (b) the Greater Belfast area in each of the years (i) 1982, (ii) 1981, (iii) 1979 and (iv) 1972.
§ Mr. Adam ButlerThe information requested for 1972, 1979 and 1981 is contained in the Northern Ireland "Annual Abstract of Statistics", published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office, a copy of which is held in the Library of the House. The figures for 1982 have not yet been published, but they have been placed in the statistical section of the Library of the House.
Figures for the Greater Belfast area are not, however, available.
