§ Mr. PriorMy meeting with Mr. Barry on 1 February was the occasion for a preliminary exchange of views on a range of issues. No decisions were required and none were taken. It is not our practice to reveal details of confidential discussions such as these but the subjects discussed included the political situation in Northern Ireland and Anglo-Irish relations.
