§ Mr. Rookerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) how much capital gains tax has been collected in the most recent period for which figures are available from income accruing from underwriters' profits used for re-insurance premiums which return income chargeable in the United Kingdom;
(2) if he will make a statement outlining how the Inland Revenue treats for tax purposes the interest earned on overseas re-insurance premiums which is returned to the United Kingdom.
