§ Mr. ButcherDevelopment work on airships is currently providing a small contribution to industrial activity in the United Kingdom. There are a number of potential applications for airships, such as coastal and offshore surveillance and protection, aerial survey work, freight transport to inaccessible sites, aerial advertising and passenger-carrying operations. The future of airships as a source of industrial activity will depend on the successful development of the product and the market and applications for it.
