My Department does not have a comprehensive list of the numerous voluntary organisations operating in the Glasgow area; these include the Glasgow council for voluntary service, which is a forum for local voluntary organisations with a membership extending to some 200 different groups, and the Glasgow volunteer centre, which recruits volunteers and places them with a number of statutory and voluntary agencies.
