§ Mr. Peter MorrisonWe are working urgently with all concerned to achieve the three objectives of the new training initiative. An encouraging number of employers are showing interest in offering places under the youth training scheme, which gets fully under way in September. The new arrangements for training in the electrical contracting industry, to which I referred in my reply earlier today to my hon. Friend the Member for Eastleigh (Sir D. Price), are an example of progress being made towards securing training to standards. The first open tech project will be launched shortly and a document is being prepared on training for adults.
