HL Deb 07 February 1983 vol 438 c1100WA
Lord Gifford

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What recommendations of the Royal Commission on Legal Services relating to the responsibilities of the Lord Chancellor's Department (a) have been implemented; (b) have been rejected; and (c) are still under consideration.

The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)

The report contains over 300 recommendations covering a wide area of legal services, and it would not be practicable to deal with all these in the Answer to this Question. I will write to the noble Lord and arrange for a copy of my letter to be placed in the Library.
