HC Deb 07 February 1983 vol 36 c274W
Mr. Murphy

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether any change will be made to the cash limit for Class IV, Vote 13, labour market services.

Mr. Michael Alison

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary supplementary estimates, the cash limit for Class IV, Vote 13 will be increased from £277,544,000 by £6 million to £283,544,000. There will be no addition to planning totals of public expenditure since a corresponding reduction will be made in the cash limit for Class IV, Vote 16, relative to the Manpower Services Commission, which will be reduced from £1,096,151,000 to £1,090,151,000. The commission's grant in aid now becomes £1,326,197,000.

The increase on Vote 13 is required for the community enterprise programme, where claims from local authority sponsors may now be met monthly instead of quarterly in arrears.
