§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales on what date the Welsh Office received the application by Arfon borough council for authorisation for a compulsory purchase order at Mount Pleasant Square, Caernarvon; and if he is now in a position to respond to the council.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe Arfon Borough Council (Clarke Street and Mount Pleasant Square) Compulsory Purchase Order 1980 was received in the Welsh Office on 28 March 1980. A public local inquiry was held on 6 October 1981. Since that time it has been necessary to seek additional information from the local authority and comments from a statutory objector.
A decision on the order will be taken as quickly as possible.
