HC Deb 04 February 1983 vol 36 c205W
Mr. Weetch

asked the Attorney-General if he will consolidate secondary legislation made under the Companies Acts, including Statutory Instrument No. 1771.

The Solicitor-General

Consolidation of the Companies Acts is in hand. Various statutory instruments made under those Acts are the responsibility of my noble Friend the Secretary of State for Trade, but I understand that he has no plans for making a consolidating instrument.

As regards Statutory Instrument 1982/1771, this is not secondary legislation made under the Companies Acts, but is an order made by the Minister for Trade under section 12(4) of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.
