§ Mr. MayhewIt is the responsibility of each electoral registration officer to decide whether a person satisfies the residential qualifications necessary to be registered as an elector. The electoral registration officer's decision can be challenged in the courts. The Select Committee on Home Affairs is looking at the registration of electors as part of its inquiry into the Representation of the People Acts.
