§ 35. Mr. Ashtonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will seek to introduce a system of control by the British Board of Film Censors over video cassette films available for rent or sale.
§ Mr. MayhewThe British Board of Film Censors and the British Videogram Association are currently considering the extension on a voluntary basis of the existing film classification system to video cassettes for home viewing. If such a system is introduced, we shall wish to assess its effect before deciding whether statutory controls are required.
