§ 49. Mr. Pittasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give figures for street crime in Z district of the Metropolitan police force for the period from October 1981 to January 1983.
§ Mr. MayhewWe understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that it is not possible to identify 165W separately all those recorded offences that occurred in the street. The information available relates to those types of offences of stealing most likely to occur in the street and the latest figures available are given in the following table; corresponding information for the fourth quarter of 1982 is not yet available.
