HC Deb 03 February 1983 vol 36 cc186-7W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proportion of all married couples both under 25 years have at least one dependent child.

Mr. Newton

The latest information, based on the general household survey for 1979–81, is that about half the married couples in Great Britain where both husband and wife are under 25 years of age have at least one dependent child.
