HC Deb 03 February 1983 vol 36 c175W
Mr. Murphy

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what recent representations he has received in favour of the concept of dual key control for cruise missiles sited in the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Blaker

I refer to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence on 1 February to my hon. Friend the Member for Mid-Sussex (Mr. Renton) and to the hon. Member for Truro (Mr. Penhaligon).—[Vol. 36, c.132–34.] Ten letters have been received from hon. Members on this issue. It would require disproportionate effort to ascertain how many letters from members of the public have raised this particular question in correspondence on nuclear weapons matters.
