Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he plans to introduce a system of feedback from audiences for cable television using the two-way cable system.

Mr. Mellor

The Government's proposals on the obligations to be imposed on cable systems will be made known in the forthcoming White Paper.

Mr. Hordern

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is now ready to appoint an advisory committee, following the suggestion in the Hunt report, to act as a precursor of a cable authority.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ensure that one cable television channel is allocated to a Christian organisation.
