§ Mr. YoungerAt 1 April 19821 had sole responsibility for appointing 3,868 members to 262 bodies and joint responsibility with other Ministers for appointing another 573 members to 46 bodies. A list of the names of all those appointed since May 1979 is not readily available and could not be provided except at disproportionate cost.
