§ Mr. BrittanThe Government already contribute about 65 per cent. of the costs of policing in the Thames Valley area through police grant and rate support grant. Nevertheless, in recognition of the exceptional additional costs which have been borne by the Thames Valley police authority and which it could not have foreseen, I ELM making available a further £1.5 million.
