§ Mr. Ian StewartThe average annual direct budgetary cost of the United Kingdom's membership of the Community over the last three financial years was some £330 million. Estimates of the costs to consumers of the common agricultural policy are necessarily subject to large uncertainties, but at current support levels the costs are substantial.
