§ The Prime MinisterNo. There are no mandatory United Nations resolutions on trade with South Africa, other than Security Council resolution 418 imposing an arms embargo. It has been our consistent policy that trade should be determined by commercial considerations. We fully observe the United Nations arms embargo but we are opposed to wider sanctions.
