Mr. Austin Mitchell

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for each year since 1970 and 1983 to date the quantities of surplus foodstuffs exported (i) by the European Economic Community and (ii) by the United Kingdom with direct or indirect financial assistance from the European Economic Community budget.

The total exported quantities of the main commodities which are currently in structural surplus in the Community are shown in table (i).

Information on the exports of these products from the United Kingdom for the years 1973 to 1981 is contained in the "Annual Reviews of Agriculture 1978" (Cmnd.
