§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithMy Department's Brown Book published annually records the share won by United Kingdom industry of the total value of orders reported by operators for oil and gas development work on the United Kingdom continental shelf. The balance after deduction of the United Kingdom share represents the value of orders won by foreign companies. My Department does not keep separate records of the value of orders for United Kingdom continental shelf development awarded to Scottish firms or to firms registered in Great Britain but with headquarters overseas.
