HC Deb 20 December 1983 vol 51 c135W
Mr. Farr

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if, in view of the evidence that certain Japanese motor vehicle batteries are for sale in the United Kingdom more cheaply than in Japan, he will invoke the relevant anti-dumping regulations.

Mr. Channon

[pursuant to the reply, 19 December 19831]: My Department has been in touch with the industry through the British Battery Makers Society, and will be considering carefully whether a case for anit-dumping action can be made to the European Commission. We will continue to provide every assistance possible.
