§ Mr. George Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many posts have been frozen unfilled within the staffing of the Lanarkshire health board; and of these, how many can be broken down by categories.
§ Mr. John MacKayI understand that Lanarkshire health board has no general policy of freezing posts and has in fact increased its staffing over the last year, mainly by recruiting additional trained nurses. If the hon. Gentleman has some particular unfilled post in mind he may care to raise the matter direct with the board.
