§ 37. Mr. Alan Howarthasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received from employers over the future of the General Certificate of Education ordinary level.
§ Mr. DunnThe Confederation of British Industry has welcomed the Government's November 1982 document "Examination at 16+: A Statement of Policy" and has declared its support for the introduction of a single system of examinations at 16-plus. The Department has also received comments from the Engineering Employers' Federation on proposals for draft national criteria for the 16-plus examinations. My right hon. Friend is always glad to receive the views of employers on this as on other issues.
