§ Mr. Patrick JenkinIn taking note of the Community's latest action programme on the environment the Council of Ministers in February 1983 stressed the importance of integrating an environmental dimension into other policies. It is the responsibility of the Commission of the European Communities to ensure that this priority is reflected in the proposals for action that it puts to the Council for decision. The principle of integration is one to which the United Kingdom has consistently given support.
