My Department currently has about 2,300 different forms for use by the public or businesses; corresponding figures for1979 are not available. Following publication of "Administrative Forms in Government" Cmnd. 8504, departmental instructions require all forms to be reviewed on a regular basis. Figures relating to progress from February 1983 should be available in May next year.
