§ Mr. Alex Carlileasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many recombining plants in the Third world are purchasing United Kingdom-produced butter and skimmed milk; what are the value of exports to such plants; and whether he has any plans for assisting such exports.
§ Mr. MacGregorI regret that information on the number of Third world recombining plants purchasing United Kingdom produced butter and skimmed milk and the value of exports to such plants is not available. The total value of butter (including butteroil) and skimmed milk exported to developing countries from the United Kingdom in 1982 was approximately £28.5 million. I have no plans to provide any specific assistance for such exports.
