§ Mr. Bidwellasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will recondiser his decision not to reappoint Mr. Staden, London regional secretary of the Transport and General Workers' Union, to the Port of London Authority.
§ Mr. David MitchellNo. Mr. Staden has given valuable service to the authority, for which we are grateful, but, as I have explained to him, we believe that it now needs a board less representative of local interests and with a stronger element of business and financial experience.
