§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeUntil companies have considered the financial effect of the new policies we are unable to estimate whether and, if so, to what extent future investment in the industry will be affected. We expect, however, that the international industry will continue to see the United Kingdom as attractive for investment, given the advantages of a sound economy, a stable political environment, a skilled work force and the United Kingdom's excellent record in discovery of new medicines.
