§ Mr. Michael Forsythasked the Solicitor-General for Scotland if he will list for each year since 1978–79 the total number of appointments of all kinds it fell within the power of the Lord Advocate to make, whether or not such appointments actually fell to be made in the year in question.
§ The Solicitor-General for ScotlandOther than procurators fiscal, who are civil servants, the total number of such appointments was 65 in each year since 1978–79 of which 15—to the Council on Tribunals—are made jointly with the Lord Chancellor.
