§ Sir Frederic Bennettasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has received any representations from the Devon and Cornwall constabulary to increase or decrease their present establishment.
§ Mr. HurdThe Devon and Cornwall police authority applied in September 1983 for an increase of four constable posts in the authorised establishment of the force for the financial year 1984–85. The police authority has been informed that the application will be further considered by my right hon. and learned Friend early next year with similar applications from other police authorities.
