§ Mr. BrookeThe National Advisory Body's plans for local authority higher education in 1984–85, which my right hon. Friend is currently considering, provide for each institution to receive additional funding differently according to the subject and mode of attendance of each of its students.
§ Mr. Michael Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what has been the level o f public funding per student in (a) universities and (b) polytechnics in each of the last three years; and what proportion of the total funding on higher education has been spent on (a) universities and (b) polytechnics in the same period.
