HC Deb 13 December 1983 vol 50 c433W
68. Mr. Ron Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how long on average his Department takes to investigate cases alleging discrimination against disabled people which are referred to him.

Mr. Newton

The time taken can vary considerably, depending on the circumstances and complexity of the individual complaints. In the cases so far concluded the average time necessary to complete investigations and respond to the complainant has been about 11 weeks.
