HL Deb 12 December 1983 vol 446 c90WA
Baroness Vickers

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What number of vessels they estimate are fishing in the waters 200 miles around the Falkland Islands and the Falkland Island Dependencies; and from what nations such vessels have come.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)

I would refer the noble Baroness to the Answer given by the Minister of State for the Armed Forces to my honourable friend the Member for Uxbridge in another place on 11th November. Wider statistics are not available. The countries from which those particular vessels have come are Italy, Japan, Poland and Spain.
