§ Sir Bernard Braineasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if Her Majesty's Government will now declare a 200-mile zone around the Falkland Islands and introduce the licensing of foreign factory ships and a freezing plant.
§ Mr. WhitneyI refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Uxbridge (Mr. Shersby) on 26 October.—[Vol. 47 c.104.] Licensing is also one of the factors which must be taken into account in the current consideration of the possible declaration of a fishery zone. The question of establishing a freezing plant would be for the Falkland Islands Government to consider in due course.
