§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will give the figures and calculations from which he derives his estimate that expansion of the National Health Service services in real terms between 1978–79 and 1983–84 will be 7.5 per cent., distinguishing between expenditure on wages and salaries and non-wage related items and between the increases necessary to meet, respectively, demographic change, technological development and inflation and any increases attributed to efficiency savings, showing also the equivalent figures if increased income from charges is deducted.
