§ 23. Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what further progress has been made in negotiations with the Spanish Government on the lifting of restrictions on the dependent territory of Gibraltar.
§ Mr. WhitneySince my right hon. and learned Friend's meeting with the Spanish Foreign Minister, Sr Moran, in New York on 26 September, there have been contacts with the Spanish Government through diplomatic channels on various matters concerning Gibraltar. We expect to review these with Sr Moran at the North Atlantic Council meeting in Brussels tomorrow.
