§ Mr. GummerOn 10 November, the number of unemployed claimants in the area covered by the Grays and Tilbury jobcentres, which corresponds closely to the Thurrock parliamentary constituency, was 6,012. Percentage rates of unemployment are calculated for complete travel-to-work areas only and the rate for the Southend travel-to-work area, which includes Grays and Tilbury, was 14.9 per cent.
