§ Mr. RaisonIn 1983 to date about £5 million has been drawn down from loans to Turkey. £1.6 million of this sum met the final instalment of the 1980 refinancing loan No. 2 and the balance was for expenditure under the 1979 and 1981 programme loans. Programme loan funds were made available for the purchase of British goods and services and were not tied to specific projects. In addition, some £270,000 has been provided during this period for the technical co-operation programme.
