§ Mr. Tom KingAs I said in my reply to the hon. Member's question on 8 November—[Vol. 48, c.125] — I met members of the employment policy and organisation committee of the TUC on 19 October to discuss the operation of the political levy. I expect to meet the committee again in the near future to discuss the ways in which the trade unions might ensure that their members are able freely and effectively to decide whether or not to pay the levy.
