§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has now considered the future of the Tavistock clinic under threat of closure due to the withdrawal of funds by the North-East Thames regional health authority; and if he will take steps to enable this clinic to continue to treat patients needing pyschotherapy.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe Tavistock clinic is funded by Hampstead health authority and funding has not been withdrawn. The district is considering making an application for central funding of the clinic in recognition of its national training role.
