§ Mr. Dubsasked the Lord Privy Seal what has been the total cost of travel of hon. Members within the United Kingdom, excluding journeys between hon. Members' homes, their constituencies, and Westminster, for each year since the scheme began; and how much of this cost was for journeys to or from Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. BiffenA resolution of the House of Commons of 4 March 1980 permitted hon. Members to be reimbursed for expenditure incurred on travel within the United Kingdom on parliamentary business in addition to previously authorised travel between their homes, Westminster and constituencies and within the constituencies.
