§ Mr. Gwilym Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Wales what action he proposes to take in view of the prospective local authority capital overspending in Wales in the current year.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsI have written to the leaders of Welsh local authorities telling them that I intend to make additional resources of £50 million available towards the predicted overspend and calling on them to limit their capital expenditure in the present year to commitments entered into by midnight on Friday 2 December 1983.
