§ Mr. John PattenProcedures were changed by the Mental Health Act 1959; and further changes relating to the admission to, and detention in, hospital of patients suffering from mental disorder were made by the Mental Health (Amendment) Act 1982, which has since been consolidated into the Mental Health Act 1983 and took effect for the most part on 30 September this year. We have no proposals for further changes.
