The Asbestos Regulations 1969 require that
559Wno loose asbestos or asbestos waste shall be despatched from or as far as is practicable received into a factory, except in suitable closed receptacles which prevent the escape of asbestos dust".New draft regulations updating the present provisions and extending them to all work activities are in preparation and will be considered early next year by the Health and Safety Commission.
