§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to bring the Scottish system of rating into line with the English system in so far as they relate to racecourses.
§ Mr. YoungerI am considering as a matter of urgency a number of possibilities whereby the burden of rates on Scottish racecourses might be alleviated. Among these is the suggestion that the basis of valuation used for Scottish racecourses should be aligned with that used in England.
