§ Q33. Mr. Lathamasked the Prime Minister whether she will raise with President Reagan the unsatisfactory effect on British-American relations of continuing financial support by organisations based in the United States of America of groups engaged in terrorism in Northern Ireland.
§ The Prime MinisterPresident Reagan is well aware of the problem. In a statement made on St. Patrick's day he appealed to Americans not to support organisations which perpetuated violence in Northern Ireland. The United States authorities have made a great effort to stamp out the illegal arms traffic to Northern Ireland. I am grateful to President Reagan and the United States Administration for their efforts.
