HC Deb 26 April 1983 vol 41 c314W
Mr. Home Robertson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what assessment he makes of the comparative effectiveness of hunting as a means of killing foxes; what information he has as to how many foxes were killed by hunting, shooting, poisoning and trapping, respectively, in the last year for which figures are available; and what advice is available from his Department or through the Agricultural Development Advisory Service as to methods of control.

Mrs. Fenner

My Department advises on measures to control fox numbers or to avoid damage by foxes when requested and in the light of local circumstances. No figures are available on the number of foxes killed by different methods.
